Miss Samantha

Assistant Supervisor

Teacher-CASA Two

I began my career with children as a peer counselor at the age of 16, and have continued working with children of all ages ever since. I have been educating children for almost twenty years.  In 2002 I joined the Young Minds team and I have looked forward to each new school year.   I completed my Early Child Hood Education diploma through Sheridan College, and I am a member of the College of ECE’s. I recently went back to Humber College study Behavior Sciences, which now has lead me to beginning the Early Childhood Degree completion program through Humber- Guelph University.

In 2006 I began studying Karate at the Port Credit Academy of Martial Arts and I realized the positive benefits and rewarding accomplishments of Karate. Karate has become a huge part of my life, and I am thrilled to say I am now a NIdan. Early in my studies  I began assisting The Sensei’s and Senpai’s and was amazed to see the wonderful changes Karate brought out in the children of the Dojo.  We began the Young Minds Karate Club, in 2012 and am thrilled to be a part of this as well.

I am looking forwards to a wonderful and exciting year at Young Minds If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to me anytime

  Miss Amal

Montessori Directress-CASA Two

I began my career at Young Minds Montessori as a supply teacher in 2002.  In 2005 I studied at the Canadian Montessori Teacher Institute under the guidance of Dr. Daniel Jutras.  I took my teaching practice at Young Minds Montessori Preschool, and completed the Montessori diploma in June of 2006.  Prior to my Montessori course, I had studied French Literature and taught the French Program at the Toronto District School Board.

I have attended several Montessori conferences and workshops as well as the very informative Centenary Exhibit.

I am looking forward to beginning another new school year as a Montessori Directress and French instructor.  I am looking forward to meeting all the new students and their families.  It will be a pleasure for me to welcome again the returning children and their families.

This will be a great year!
